Summer Vacations

Our vacations are just starting. Mia and I went to Ohio over Memorial Day weekend to see her Great-grandma (who we call Gi-Gi), Grandma, Aunt Linda, uncles, and cousins. She had a blast and was thoroughly spoiled by the end of the trip. She saw a parade, played with Gi-Gi's toys, and ate all of Gi-Gi's good food. The homemade applesauce was Mia's favorite.

I was in Ohio, Jason also took a vacation with his friends, Kenny, Matt, and Ron. Yes, if you can believe it, below are pictures of the Rockies at the end of May! They all had to snow-shoe into the "yurt" or cabin. Then they tried to fish but Lake Agnes was covered in thick ice. They were disappointed to not do any fishing but otherwise, they had a blast. It was something unique and new for all of them.

So, we don't have any trips planned for the rest of the summer but we are getting geared up for many friends and family to visit us soon. We really look forward to it and I will have posts about them soon.

Four Generations: Gi-Gi, Grandma, Mom, and Mia

Sweet photo of Mia watering Gi-Gi's flowers. The sweetness turned sour when she turned the hose on me two seconds later.

Mia chasing down some candy at the parade.

Jason and Matt snow-shoeing into their "summer" vacation spot

The yurt was covered up to the roof in snow. The door had to be dug out to reach.

Picture of Lake Agnes covered in snow and ice. You can see the "island" of trees in the middle that Jason and his friends were able to walk out to. The ice was too thick to fish.

End of a good guy's trip
